What are signs of HPV genital warts?
Most people who get genital wart-associated HPV types clear the infection rapidly without ever developing warts or any other symptoms. Those who do get genital warts usually will see a small white collection of cells (like a skin tag) somewhere on or around the penis or vagina. HPV types that cause genital warts are not always the same as the ones that cause cervical cancer. Keep in mind, though, that a person can be infected with several types of HPV including more severe types which can potentially cause cancer.

HPV also known as Human papillomavirus is a diverse group of over 100 types of DNA-based viruses.

HPV is typically found in both humans and animals and is typically caused by sexual contact.

The HPV Virus can cause several unwanted side effects ranging from warts to cancer. Cervical Cancer is especially prevelant in women affected with HPV.

The HPV Virus can be contracted from just one sexual encounter. Reports for the actual percentage of people affected vary, but statistics in the U.S. alone range from 14% to as much as 90% depending on the source and conditions of the survey.
